| Finally got an xbox 360. First time I owned a gaming console since the Atari 2600. I've been playing Halo 3 for a few nights. I suck pretty bad, but I should get better once I'm comfortable with the xbox controls. I still prefer the keyboard and mouse combo. Look for me on xbox live under adamtki. Once Guitar Hero 3 comes out, I'll probably be playing that every night instead. |

| Finally Koo is married. I never thought it would happen, but there is hope for all you single late 30's guys out there! His wedding was like a 10 year reunion of all the GMC and U of MD people. It was good to see old faces. I was surprised to see that there were as many people who lost weight as those that gained weight.
I was never an usher at a wedding so did what I could seating guests and walking the bride's mom down the aisle. Directing them to their seats was futile when you're using broken Korean to tell a stampede of 1st generation-ers streaming through the door how to seat themselves. Walking the mom down the aisle turned out ok depsite having to walk through the musicians to get to the stage. And hopefully nobody noticed that I started to in-sah to the other mom when they were bowing to each other! (though I think I heard some giggles  )
The golfing during the trip was so so. After shooting 112 on Sunday at Hampshire Greens in Silver Spring, I decided I had enough of golf for the trip.
One thing I couldn't get enough of during the trop was Guitar Hero. That thing was addicting. I still have Freebird and Sweet Child of Mine playing in my head even now. I think there's a rock star lurking in me somewhere. I'll have to convince Kelly that we need to get a game system for Aaron  .
I also got to play speed scrabble for the first time. I hadn't exercised the Scrabble section of my brain in years. I only played two games but I managed to give the pros there (John, Rose and Sameer) a good run for 2nd place in the 2nd game. John got lucky when my dyslexic mistakes kicked in. I should check out my dyslexic symptoms. I had 3 mistakes in 2 games - zore, cnoe, and eb. They looked correct to me until after the round. It's like someone secretly switched the letters when I wasn't looking!
The plane ride back was unusual. On the way to the gate and Reagan National, I ran into Han who happened to be headed to the same gate. It turns out he, Carolyne, and the two kids were in Salisbury for the weekend. They sat a couple rows behind me during the ride. Next to me was a Korean mom and her 5th grade son. They looked at me and wondered if I was Korean so I just pretended not to understand thier conversation. I didn't want to spend the entire plane ride speaking in Korean. Too stressful, especially after a weekend of bad golf shots and attempting Freebird in hard mode. I looked back at Han and asked if the two seats next to him were empty. He said David and Madeline were sitting there (Darn!).
The mom managed to figure out I was Korean an hour before we landed. So much for keeping myself to myself. Her son turned out to be one of the students of a teacher I had sat next to earlier on the plane ride into DC. She also invited me and my family to Alaska. I think she wants a mentor for her son.
Anyway, I'm back home. It's good to be back home. Little Aaron seems to be getting better from that viral like illness him and grandma (my mom) got the week before I left. Here's Aaron trying some hand paint at preschool.
